These
are the rules of a sport I made up called Kadima:
- Two opposing teams battle for possession
during kickoff. (2 points)
- Front line uses shields and swords,
secondary lines use bows and arrows. Players are down if hit by
arrow (body, not shield) or stabbed by wooden sword.
- Losing team kicks off green ball.
Winning team tries to enter opposing endzone with green ball in order to
capture red ball.
- Player is sidelined when
"killed". If the player who has the ball gets killed, then
the defense gets the ball.
- The player carrying the ball must fumble it
if tackled. The ball is free to pick up by either the offense or the
defense.
- The offense can throw or kick the ball to
teammates. Opposing team may intercept for possession.
- The offense has designated blockers (2 weapons
in hand), and designated scorers (1 weapon, 1 arm free to carry/catch
ball).
- Blockers have the privilege of kicking the
ball only.
- The offense gets 5 points if they score with
a green ball on a drive. The red ball is then picked up by the
offense.
- The offense then tries to reach the other
endzone with the red ball. If they get there, 7 points are
awarded. If the defense gets the ball and scores with either the
green or red ball, 3 points are awarded.
- Before the next battle for possession, all players who were not killed or given a penalty battle one on one. 1 point is awarded per victory. Extra points are given for each surplus of members unable to face someone from the other team (due to less kills). It is during this time that substitutions can be made for the next possession.
